So after years of talking about it, I'm finally getting off my ass and making a t-shirt "quilt". The front and middle bits will for sure be quilt materials, but I may try to do a fleece back and do the tie thingy instead of hand sewing (don't own a sewing  machine).

I've got what looks like close to the equivalent of 30 t shirts to use, 6 yards of fabric for the sashing and 15 yds of in theory non woven fusible interfacing and I'll figure out the rest as I go. If you don't hear from me in a month, assume the fabric ate me.

You know you've cut down on your EtOH consumption when you're buzzing on a shot of Tequila Rose & 1 shot of chocolate vodka mixed in a glass milk....

This is the 2nd drink I've had since my birthday last month.

I think there is a ghost in my television. Oddly enough, I'm ok with that, as long as it leaves my laptop alone.

Or ya know, Dean could come and exorcise it.

Should be working on care plan. Instead I'm celebrating the fact that the cable modem finally agreed to talk to Dean - my new laptop. He's a good boy, even if he is a Dell (no one's perfect) and he's pretty and Midnight blue and silver and big, the hard drive is 2x the size of my desktop hard drive. I got him refurbished from Dell (building him new on their site was going to cost me about 1100 bucks, I paid 500), so like the Dean from Supernatural (his namesake) he was returned from Perdition.

Why is it the day time sinus meds knock me on my ass, but the night time ones wake me up?

SPN pondering.

Am I punching my ticket for the handbasket to hell if I decide Castiel/Dean as my OTP ( I just can't get into the incesty side of the fandom).

Just got home after 10 hours in the hospital and the cat is clinging to me. Rubbing all over my arm, laying right next to me. I was only gone 10 hours. She's going to go crazy when I go back to College Station one weekend.

(erm...I'm a student nurse in the hospital, not a patient - my clinical rotations are thursday/friday from 1400-2130ish)

This is Cutie (aka Squeaks). She's my brother's cat, 13 years old, just moved in with me and currently is sitting on my back. (Picture taken at my mom's on Christmas day (purple is my dress).)Photobucket

F=list skip =560. Damn y'all posted a lot in a week. Merry Christmas, Happy new year to all!

Got off the third plane and home a little over two hours ago. So tired.  Driving up to BCS tomorrow to celebrate a friend's friend's birthday tomorrow and another one Thursday.  Also, Squeaks (real name Cutie, my brother's (my) cat) is being flown down Saturday. It was a lot cheaper to put her on a plane and going to be less stress than a 20 hour drive for her.

So so so sleepy.

Out of curiousity, do y'all think I'm heterosexual, bisexual or homosexual?

I find that I have come to the part of the evening where I must make a decision.  One more drink and I'm going to be drunk to the point thtat typing becomes very much a challenge or I can back off the alcohol and probably not be hungover.  Though honestly, I think I'm still dealing with the emotional/psychosomatic parts of the last hangover.  All I've wanted to do lately is sleep - and yes, I know that's a sign of depression, but I've been clinically depressed before, and I know the difference between depression and what I've been feeling lately.  That and it was definitely alcohol induced.

Right now the worlds a happy blurry place and I almost feel the need to expound upon my thoughts on sexual orientation.  And possibly my thoughts on pre-marital sex.  But that might require another drink and I don't think I want to get up.  And my nose is numb.

Finished Series 1-4 of doctor who today (series - not the seasons) - very good, but still sad in the end.  Great series, it and Torchwood.

Back in Corpus.  Party was a blast.  Hangover not so much. Passed out around one last night after good food, good conversation and good drinks.  went to sit down in a chair for a few minutes (waiting for the world to stop spinning and woke up with a blanket in the morning).

Happy Sahmain to those who celebrate it :)

Happy Halloween to everyone else.

Off to a Sahmain/Halloween party (most people don't know that it's being thrown as a Sahmain party instead of Halloween - does this make sense? Most people don't know the host has recently decided to/felt called to Paganism.) Should be a blast.

Non-conformist, Visionary, and Independent

16 Abstract, -2 Islamic, -13 Ukiyo-e, 6 Cubist, -10 Impressionist and -23 Renaissance!

Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of what may appear to others as visual realities. Western had been underpinned by the logic of perspective and an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality. It allowed the progressive thinking artists to show a different side to the world around them. By the end of the 19th century many artists felt a need to create a 'new kind of art' which would encompass the fundamental changes taking place in technology, science and philosophy. Abstract artists created art that was diverse and reflected the social and intellectual turmoil in all areas of Western culture.

People that chose abstract art as their preferred artform tend to be visionsaries. They see things in the world around them and in people that others may miss because they look beyond what is visual only with the eye. They rely on their inner thoughts and feelings in dealing with the world around them instead of on what they are told they should think and feel. They feel freed from the tendancy to be bound by traditional thought and experiences. They look more toward their own ideas and experiences than what they are told by their religious upbringing or from scientific evidence. They tend to like to prove theories themselves instead of relying on the insight or ideas of others. They are not bound by common and mundane, but like to travel and have new experiences. They value intelligence, but they also enjoy a challenge. They can be rather argumentative when they are being forced or feel as if they are being forced to conform.

Went and cleared a bunch of old coms for fandoms I don't follow anymore - didn't cut any one so if you're no longer my on my list, oops? Let me know.

May try to post a Lorne/Shep fic this week. Though I'm kind of thinking trying to get back to my original idea of Major Marks/Major Lorne and Cam/John. Because that is all kinds of pretty.
